Tickets & Entry

No. There are no re-admissions at ticketed concerts. Once you leave, re-entry is not permitted.

Yes. Subject to availability, tickets can be purchased at the Dublin Castle box office on the day.

If you have purchased tickets: Log in to your Ticketmaster account, go to the event under “Upcoming Events,” and select “Help With Your Order.”

If you have not yet purchased tickets: Use the Ticketmaster help form for assistance.

  • Countdown Concert (Dec 31, 8:30pm) – Strictly over 18s only.
  • Countdown Matinee (Dec 31, 4:30pm) – Family-friendly. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 25+.
  • New Year’s Day Concerts – Family-friendly. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 25+.

Strict age monitoring will be in place. The promoter reserves the right to refuse admission without refund for non-compliance.

Ticketmaster will operate a box office at Dublin Castle for credit card collections and on-the-day purchases, subject to availability.

  • Dublin Castle – 4:30pm (Countdown Matinee)
  • Dublin Castle – 8:30pm (Countdown Concert)

Important: No queuing is allowed before gates open. Please do not arrive without a ticket.

No. These are two separate ticketed events and require individual tickets. Even if you purchase both, you must leave after the first event and re-enter when gates open for the later concert.

No. The fireworks displays are free and unticketed.

No. These events are free and open to everyone.

Location, Transport & Accessibility

Public transport is strongly advised. There is no parking at any venue.

  • Dublin Bus, Luas and commuter rail services run to the city centre.
  • DART services run to Howth and Dún Laoghaire.
  • Nitelink and late-night bus services will operate on December 31st.

NYF Dublin takes place in 4 venues for 2025:

  • Dublin Castle, Dame Street, Dublin
  • Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin
  • Dún Laoghaire Harbour Howth Harbour,
  • Howth

The NYF Dublin Music Trail also takes place across pubs and venues in Dublin city centre.

Yes, the festival is an accessible event.

  • Dublin Castle: Accessible tickets are available via Ticketmaster. Companion tickets are available once registered with Ticketmaster’s accessible database. Capacity is limited and allocated on a 1:1 basis, except where verified 2:1 requirements apply.
  • Howth Harbour / Dún Laoghaire Harbour: Accessible viewing areas will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Festival Experience

Yes. Prams are allowed at the Matinee Concert. They are not permitted at the evening Countdown Concert.

No umbrellas are permitted. Events will proceed outdoors in all weather. Please dress warmly and bring waterproof clothing.

Only small bags (A4 size or smaller) are permitted. There are no cloakroom or storage facilities. Bag checks will take place at ticketed events.

Yes. Fireworks will take place at Howth Harbour and Dún Laoghaire Harbour on December 31st at 7 PM. Pyrotechnics will also feature during the Countdown Concert at Dublin Castle.

Only guide dogs are permitted. No other pets are allowed.

Yes. Food vendors and partner restaurants will operate at Dublin Castle and other venues.
